Urban Eye produced two mosaics in 2005 in Golborne Road which transformed featureless walls prone to fly-tipping and tagging into popular local features. The first was created with young people from the Venture Centre and included a painted trompe l’oeil section over the door to give the effect of a continuous design. The second mosaic was created in partnership with St Thomas Primary School.

 

The projects were funded by Kensington Housing Trust Peabody Trust and Golborne United SRB and were commended at the annual Council Environment Awards.
