The 51 sq/m gable end wall at Powis Gardens W10 was a target for graffiti and flytipping. Urban Eye and Clydesdale House Resident Association teamed up to organise design workshops with young residents on the Estate to develop artwork for the wall. A durable artist’s exterior grade paint was used for the mural, each colour specially mixed to the required tint and quantity. The resulting mural proved popular with local residents although a part of it has now been overpainted.
Project funding was provided by Community Chest.
